First Mustard Seed Monday!

Todays scripture will be displayed in King James Version and New Living Translation.

Matthew 9: 1-8

KJV: And he entered into a ship and passed over, and came into his own city. And, behold, they brought him to a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee. And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, this man blasphemeth. And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts? For whether is easier to say, Thy sins be forgiven the; or to say, Arise and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up they bed, and go unto thine house. And he arose, and departed to his house. But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which have given such power unto men.

NLT: Jesus climbed into a boat and went back across the lake to his own town. Some people brought to him a paralyzed man on a mat. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “Be encouraged, my child! Your sins are forgiven.” But some of the teachers of religiuous law said to themselves, “That’s blasphemy! Does he think he’s God?” Jesus knew what they were thinking, so he asked them, “Why do you have such evil thoughts in your hearts? It is easier to say ‘ Your sins are forgiven,’ or ‘Stand up and walk’? So I will prove to you that the Son of Man has the authority on earth to forgive sins.” then Jesus turned to the paralyzed man and said, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and go home!” And the man jumped up and went home! Fear swept through the crowd as they saw this happen. And they praised God for sending a man with such great authority.

I believe that this shows the awesome power of God and how he can not only heal, but take away sins. Jesus’ example of removing sin from the man might have also been forshadowing his sacrifice on the cross for all men.

A prayer: Lord, I know you can remove my sins this day, I may have faltered here and there, but I am still yours. Forgive me of my sins this day my Lord, for I know that any ailment cast upon me by satan can be reversed and removed only by you! Take my illness from me Lord and may I be pure in your eyes. In Jesus name I pray,

Another Apology!

I’m sorry I didn’t post up this weeks Sabbath Weekend event. Things are hard for me right now. But I’ll continue on! Look forward to Sabbath Weekend this coming Saturday and Sunday! For now, today is Mustard Seed Monday and I’ll be posting a devotional for you very shortly!

It’s late, but here! InterpDAY!
